Paris's costume symbol

Paris's costume symbolizes that he is a space cadet. He clearly doesn't notice what is going on between Romeo and Juliet when he is supposed to be with Juliet. Throughout the party Romeo and Juliet are sneaking around, and even though Paris could have discovered it many times he doesn't have a thought in his head about what is going on. All Paris wants is a family, but he doesn't realize that Juliet might want something different. It will probably be a while before Paris realizes what is happening between Romeo and Juliet.
